The secrets of the guild must be closely guarded. As such, its members must not only be strong in the mind but also strong in the body and spirit. Shambhala, named after the legendary hidden city of peace in the Himalayas, resembles a Shinto shrine more than a base. Its primary goal is to bring out the best physical and spiritual potential in the Guild’s members. 

The Guild’s center of Biophysics provides a bionics laboratory to develop life saving technologies such as enhanced replacement organs and body parts. Members are also sent here to be trained in forms of personal defense and offense. The Guild compiles a large and in depth library of fighting style data collected throughout history. Members choose a specific style and, with the help of neural input technology and skilled trainers, master it in a relatively short amount of time. Shambhala takes on the ancient traditions of these fighting styles, providing adequate training environments, equipment and atmosphere, allowing members to grow in strength, wisdom, discipline and tolerance as well as gain a greater sense of justice. 

The spirit is further strengthened with the help of the guild’s center of Metaphysics. The vast library of ancient aether manipulation technology, otherwise known as “mana” or “spirit techniques” is available for members to research and learn. Shambhala also features access to the harsh wilderness around its walls and a large arena for members who wish to give themselves a greater challenge.

Code Name: Mu

Field: Chemistry

Located several kilometers passed the arctic circle in one of the rarest places on the planet; this base is built on a volcanic fault. Ice meets fire, providing some of the most ideal conditions for the guild’s center for chemical discovery. The extreme heat and cold interact with each other, allowing many chemical phenomenons to occur, such as the natural development of rare minerals and crystals. The guild takes advantage of this phenomenon to develop advanced chemical technologies.

This base is also the gateway control to the guild’s high-speed underground tunnel network which used to branch to all of the land-based centers and ran passed the planet’s core to the southern ice cap. With the development of sub-dimensional teleportation, the tunnel network was closed and is instead occasionally used to monitor changes in the planet’s core.

Members come here to gain an understanding of the planet’s geological activity as well as gain skills in matter analysis and explosives. The base is Dubbed “Mu” after the lost continent from which life is believed to have begun, hinting with the base’s connection to the planet’s core.

Code Name: Atlantis

Field: Biochemistry

This base needs no introduction. The guild’s center for biochemical technology is built after the former “floating” city known as Atlantis. The base conceals itself within dense reefs and sand formations beneath the waves. Like Dorado, Atlantis holds a series of specially designed environment controlled aquariums to preserve rare and thought to be extinct aquatic organisms.Guild members travel under the sea, collecting biological data which is analyzed here and added to the DNA database.

Atlantis works closely with Dorado to form a complete database of the planet’s indigenous organisms, existing in the present, as well as in the past. In addition to the large mechanized pressure workshops, members take advantage of the powerful genetics laboratory, allowing them to study and perhaps modify their own body structure and functions to suit their needs. 

Atlantis also serves as the monitor for under-sea activity by using sonar modules scattered throughout the vast ocean seabed and as the primary launching pad for the guild’s mechanized armada which is also primarily stored safely within the base.

Code Name: Midgard

Field: Chemical Physics

Midgard is dubbed after the Norse name for the “realm of humans”. Although it is considered a base, Midgard doesn’t have any single location. Thanks to clever dimensional engineering, the base exists instead in a specially crafted part of sub space which connects to “port stations” concealed in many major urban centers around the globe. This serves as the guild’s vital connection to civilization. Most members are dispatched through Midgard, allowing them to live out normal lives while still performing their assigned tasks. 

The base’s unique “location” makes Midgard the perfect place to serve as the guild’s Chemical Physics center. The vast emptiness of subspace allows the guild to research the very nature of matter and energy without posing any risk to the dimension it is supported by. Midgard is known for developing the advanced energy sources and energy-matter manipulation technologies that are used to power the guild’s central bases. 

The base also features a large virtual shooting gallery from which members gain formal training in projectile weapons, as well as a large vehicle workshop for transport technology.

Code Name: Avalon

Avalon, the legendary island of mists in which King Arthur sleeps. Such is a fitting name for the Guild’s central command center. Using advanced anti-gravitational technologies, Avalon floats silently in the planet’s atmosphere. The sleek, mobile aerodynamic design, powerful thruster engines and arrays of shield, hologram and cloaking generators make Avalon the safest, most concealed base available to the Guild. This is where all discoveries are presented and shared. In addition to a meteorology lab, the base is divided into the respective fields that the other six bases represent, providing members with adequate tools and facilities to finalize and combine their findings here. 

The combination and application of these discoveries are one of the central roles of this base. Once approved, these discoveries are sent to assigned members who disperse them to civilization. Avalon houses the central command bridge which is responsible for monitoring all activity on the planet, assigning tasks and dealing with any threats as needed. This is also where the arbiter’s council meets to discuss important issues concerning the guild and its members. This includes the initiation and assignment of members.

Avalon is the first and last place a member sees when they join the guild. Specialized virtual reality rooms are used to test those who wish to advance and certify themselves in skills and positions. Avalon also serves an especially important role as a dimensional gateway and communications port. Avalon is responsible for communicating between Guild establishments in other dimensions. In addition, members with clearance are allowed to use this gate to travel to these other dimensions in which the Guild has managed  to establish itself. Avalon is capable of deploying its outer rings to make dimensional jumps or sub-dimensional transfers when needed.
